This website is part of the ECDC (European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control) network
The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) works closely with the European Commission and with other EU agencies, stakeholders and organisations running awareness campaigns on prudent use of antibiotics related to both human and animal health - in line with the European Commission ‘One health’ integrated approach. EAAD welcomes dialogue with other organisations who are interested in participating in this initiative.
ECDC cooperates closely with EU agencies such as the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and the European Medicines Agency (EMA), including for European Antibiotic Awareness Day. ECDC also participates in the Transatlantic Taskforce on Antimicrobial Resistance (TATFAR) - an US-EU collaboration on antimicrobial resistance issues that can better be addressed by intensified transatlantic cooperation.
EAAD partners with other campaigns on antimicrobial resistance awareness from around the world.
