​ECDCThis year’s European Scientific Conference on Applied Infectious Disease Epidemiology (ESCAIDE) is taking place in Stockholm, Sweden, between 5-7 November. All participants who register before 31 August will receive a 50 Euro discount, making the fee 250 Euro (including VAT). From 1 September, regular on-line registration will cost 300 Euro (including VAT). These fees include access to all the sessions in the conference, conference materials, satellite events, lunches and an evening reception. Delegates can register though ESCAIDE’s website.
ESCAIDE 2013 is pleased to welcome Professor Peter Piot, Director of the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, who will give the keynote address at the conference under the title “No Time to Lose: of infectious diseases, science, politics and institutions”. Other plenary sessions at ESCAIDE 2013 include “Phylogenomics for public health: unravelling disease transmission”, and the “Evolving epidemiology of HIV and STI”. In addition, over 200 abstracts accepted into ESCAIDE 2013 will be presented in topic-specific oral and poster sessions during the conference. A provisional programme is available on www.escaide.eu
