Since the beginning of 2024, and as of 2 December 2024, five MERS-CoV cases, including four fatalities, have been reported in Saudi Arabia with date of onset in 2024.

Since April 2012, and as of 1 June 2026, a total of 2 649 MERS cases, including 960 deaths, have been reported by health authorities worldwide.
