This report details the work of ECDC during 2010, a year which saw the arrival of a new Director, the completion of the first stage of ECDC’s development and strategic discussions on medium-term priorities and how to optimise working methods. Alongside the process of change the Centre continued to produce important scientific output, respond to major incidents and meet its other public health and disease-specific obligations.
