Access to documents
Here you can obtain information about the work of ECDC and gain access to documents held by it.
Make a document request
If you wish to obtain a document you can send us a request that will be processed in accordance with the provisions of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 of the European Parliament and the Council regarding public access to European Parliament, Council and Commission documents, and in accordance to the Decision of the ECDC Management Board MB1/17 on Rules for implementing Article 20 (2) of the Regulation (EC) No 851/2004, on access to documents of the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control.
Please note that a request to access to documents may fall under the exceptions provided for in Articles 4 and 9 of Regulation 1049/2001.
How to submit a request:
In order to enable us to process your request, please state your surname, forename, and address. In order to enable us to identify the document requested, we encourage you to make you application in a sufficiently precise manner. The application can be sent via e-mail or regular post.

ECDC key documents
Regulation (EC) No 851/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 21 April 2004 establishing a European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control. The regulation sets out ECDC's mission and lays down the centre's structure, its bodies and its working arrangements.

Work Programmes and long-term strategies
Work Programmes include two parts: the first presents objectives and priorities for the following three years while the second part provides more detail on the specific objectives and expected outputs .
Annual reports of the Director
The Director’s annual report provides an overview of the Centre’s accomplishments and a summary of the Centre’s financial and administrative operations.
