Annual I-MOVE network meeting
Between 14th and 16th of May the I-MOVE network as well as a number of leading international experts in the field of influenza vaccine effectiveness will be meeting in Rome to discuss results of the 2011-12 season and to plan for the next season’s activities.
The ECDC I-MOVE in Europe (Influenza - Monitoring Vaccine Effectiveness) project aims at measuring influenza vaccine effectiveness in Europe. The project started in 2007 and since then has provided timely and reliable estimates of Influenza vaccines effectiveness in Europe. Between 14th and 16th of May the I-MOVE network as well as a number of leading international experts in the field of influenza vaccine effectiveness will be meeting in Rome to discuss results of the 2011-12 season and to plan for the next season’s activities.

E-learning course on how to increase influenza vaccination uptake
It is important that healthcare workers (HCWs) get vaccinated against seasonal influenza since they can get influenza from, and transmit influenza to, patients and other HCWs. This e-learning course has been developed since seasonal influenza vaccination of HCWs is recommended in Europe but vaccination uptake remains low in most countries. It provides information about how to assess the uptake and barriers to vaccination, as well as examples of successful campaigns that have increased the vaccination among HCWs. The target audience is public health professionals who organize vaccination campaigns for HCWs.Read more
