Member State Consultation on ECDC strategy for public health training
A consultation with the Member State National Focal Points for Public Health Training (NFP-PHT), nominated by the ECDC Coordinating Competent Bodies, and other key stakeholders took place in Stockholm 2014.
The focus of the meeting was:
- Follow up by ECDC on recommendations and action points from the last MS Consultation on ECDC Public Health training strategy held on 23-24 October 2013
- Advice from the NFP-PHT on priorities for the ECDC Training working plan for 2015.
Additional tentative topics discussed included:
- Senior Exchange Program,
- Selection process of participants for ECDC courses and
- ECDC Repository for training materials.
Training course on control of multidrug-resistant micro-organisms in health care settings
17 Sep 2019 to 19 Sep 2019 - ECDC is organising a short course on “Control of multidrug-resistant micro-organisms (MDROs) in health care settings”. This training opportunity is addressed at healthcare professionals from European Union (EU) and European Economic Area (EEA) countries with current or future responsibility for the prevention and control of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) due to MDROs working at national or local level. The course is offered by invitation only and participants are identified through the ECDC Coordinating Competent Bodies.
Expert consultation meeting: Developing a training course on vaccine acceptance
11 Apr 2019 to 12 Apr 2019 - In order to improve the skills of European health professionals working in healthcare and public health in addressing the doubts and concerns of patients regarding vaccination, ECDC is convening an expert consultation meeting during 11-12 April 2019.
ECDC Summer School 2019
10 Jun 2019 to 14 Jun 2019 - The ECDC Summer School is organised yearly for experts within the ECDC networks with the aim to build EU/EEA Member States’ public health capacity in the area of communicable diseases. Every year meaningful topics are selected based on Member States’ identified needs. The Summer School provides an opportunity for networking and scientific exchange.
