6th Joint WHO/Europe–ECDC Annual European Influenza Surveillance Meeting
The joint annual influenza surveillance meeting by ECDC and the WHO Regional Office for Europe will take place on 6 - 8 June 2018 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Invited participants are epidemiological and virological surveillance experts nominated by national health authorities as well as representatives from international institutions, covering the 53 countries of the EU/EEA and the WHO European region. The meeting is by invitation only.
Influenza surveillance for the 2017-2018 season is starting
ECDC monitors and reports on influenza transmission and virus circulation in Europe on a weekly basis throughout the flu season, in collaboration with WHO Regional Office for Europe, in the report Flu News Europe.

The annual influenza meeting will focus on new developments in influenza surveillance at the country and regional level, seasonal influenza vaccination programmes, provide an update on the global situation with regard to outbreaks of avian influenza and other emerging respiratory pathogens, and provide a forum for exchanging experiences from the past influenza season.
