Antimicrobial resistance and healthcare-associated infections - Annual epidemiological report 2014 [2012 data]
ECDC publishes the antimicrobial resistance and healthcare-associated infections chapter of the Annual Epidemiological Report 2014. It includes data from 2012 on antimicrobial resistance, antimicrobial consumption and healthcare-associated infections.
The Annual Epidemiological Report is a key ECDC publication on the epidemiology of communicable diseases of public health significance in Europe. The 2014 edition of the Annual Epidemiological Report is being published a disease group at a time and will later be compiled into one comprehensive report.
Echinococcosis - Annual Epidemiological Report for 2015
6 Dec 2017 - In 2015, 874 confirmed echinococcosis cases were reported in the EU/EEA. Of these, 467 cases werereported as Echinococcus granulosus, 135 as Echinococcus multilocularis, and 272 as unknown species.
Hepatitis C - Annual Epidemiological Report for 2015
6 Dec 2017 - In 2015, 34 651 cases of hepatitis C were reported from 28 EU/EEA Member States, a crude rate of 8.6 per 100 000 population. Of the cases reported, 1.0% were classified as acute, 12.7% as chronic, 69.5% as ‘unknown’ and 16.8% were not classified.
Seasonal influenza - Annual Epidemiological Report for 2015
6 Dec 2017 - As in previous seasons, influenza activity started in week 51/2015 and lasted until week 20/2016. Compared with previous seasons, primary care consultation rates for influenza-like illness (ILI)/acute respiratory infection (ARI) were similar in most EU/EEA countries. In almost all countries, the season was dominated by influenza A(H1N1)pdm09 viruses.
