ECDC roadmap for integration of molecular typing and genomic typing into European-level surveillance and epidemic preparedness – Version 2.1, 2016-19
This roadmap Version 2.1, 2016–19 presents the recommended priority list of pathogens/diseases and technical implementation options for the medium-term integration of molecular/genomic typing into EU-level surveillance and epidemic preparedness. It provides a strategic framework to guide the consolidation of ECDC activities in relation to molecular typing of human pathogens. The document synthesises evidence and the opinion of experts in Member States and at ECDC.
Strategy for the external quality assessment of public health microbiology laboratories
30 Jul 2018 - ECDC’s Microbiology Coordination Section developed a multi-disease ECDC’s strategy for cost-efficient design and management of ECDC EQAs.
Towards One Health preparedness
24 May 2018 - In order to further explore and identify priority areas for action for strengthening One Health preparedness in Europe, ECDC convened an expert consultation on 11–12 December 2017. This report summarises the key conclusions from this consultation.
Molecular typing of Neisseria gonorrhoeae – a study of 2013 isolates
16 May 2018 - This report describes the second molecular typing survey of N. gonorrhoeae across the EU/EEA and provides recent information on NG-MAST STs/Gs and genotypes based on WGS circulating in 21 EU/EEA Member States.
