HIV/AIDS surveillance in Europe 2009

The rate of newly diagnosed cases of HIV infection in the EU and EEA has remained relatively stable since 2004, although with evidence of continuing transmission in Europe, HIV continues to be a major public health concern for the region.
This report, prepared jointly with the WHO Regional Office for Europe, presents data on HIV and AIDS for the whole European Region, including the EU and EEA countries. Analyses are provided for the EU and EEA region, and also by geographical area of the WHO European Region.
