The Advanced Vaccinology Course or ADVAC is a two-week training programme for decision-makers, including academia, industry, governmental and non-governmental agencies, in all fields related to vaccines and vaccination, vaccine trials, new vaccines, vaccination strategies and policies, vaccine-specific issues

The Advanced Vaccinology Course or ADVAC is a two-week training programme for decision-makers, including academia, industry, governmental and non-governmental agencies, in all fields related to vaccines and vaccination, vaccine trials, new vaccines, vaccination strategies and policies, vaccine-specific issues  (including hepatitis, meningitis, polio, measles, pneumococcal diseases, influenza, malaria, HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, HPV, rotavirus, dengue & JE), ethical issues related to vaccine trials, financing of immunization policy, and communication.

Over 60 top-level international lecturers and working group supervisors, all experts in vaccinology share current knowledge in the field of vaccinology. ECDC, among other international organizations, is supporting the ADVAC course.

ADVAC has been awarded over 60 CME credits by the European Board for the Accreditation of CME in Infectious Diseases and by the European Union of Medical Specialists.

ADVAC 2011

The course will take place from 16 to 27 May 2011 at the Fondation Mérieux Conference Center

Deadline for online registration: 16 November 2010.

The attendance will be limited to 65 participants who will be selected by an International Scientific Committee on the basis of their qualifications, decision-making responsibilities, and motivation.  Fellowships are available for participants from developed and developing countries.
