Early Warning and Response System of the European Union (EWRS)

The Early Warning and Response System of the European Union is a restricted communication platform for alert and risk management of serious cross border threats to health, as specified in Regulation (EU) 2022/2371 (Chapter IV).  The platform is owned and moderated by the Directorate General Health and Food Safety (SANTE). The IT operation, including hosting and development, is implemented by ECDC. DG SANTE and ECDC have signed a Contribution Agreement to further develop the platform in 2024-2029.
