Surveillance of antimicrobial consumption in Europe 2013-2014
This is the fourth annual report of the European Surveillance of Antimicrobial Consumption Network (ESAC-Net) published by ECDC. The report is based on antimicrobial consumption data from the community (primary care sector) and the hospital sector reported to ECDC for the years 2013 and 2014 by 28 EU Member States and two EEA (European Economic Area)/non-EU countries (Iceland and Norway).
The major cause of antimicrobial resistance in microorganisms from humans remains the use of antimicrobials in human medicine, in the community and in hospitals and other healthcare settings.Read more

The ESAC-Net interactive database provides European reference data on antimicrobial consumption, both in the community and the hospital sector.Read more
