Andrea Ammon on country mission to Finland
On 10 March 2023, Dr. Andrea Ammon was in Finland to meet with Krista Kiuru, Finish Minister for Social Affairs and Health.
They met at the Ministry headquarters in Helsinki and talked about COVID-19, ECDC’s strengthened mandate and the cooperation between ECDC and Finland.
Afterwards, Dr. Ammon travelled to the Finnish Institute of Health and Welfare, to meet and discuss with its Director-General, Dr. Markku Tervahauta. Discussion topics include ECDC's strengthened mandate, strengthened international health regulations and preparedness in the EU (SHARP Joint Action), and links to the new regulation on serious cross-border threats to health.
