Spanish Presidency HIV meeting
On 15 September 2023, Dr. Andrea Ammon attended the High Level Meeting on "HIV and Human Rights: political action to achieve zero stigma" which took place in Seville, in the context of the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
The meeting addressed the scientific evidence supporting the need to eliminate HIV-related stigma and discrimination to achieve the United Nations sustainable development goals (SDG) 3.3 by 2030.
The political declaration "HIV and Human Rights: Political action to achieve zero stigma" was discussed, reviewed and proposed for adoption on 1 December 2023, the World AIDS Day, in the European Parliament.
