Annual meeting of ECDC’s National Focal Points (NFP) for Preparedness and Response, and for Threat detection, EWRS and IHR
Seven nominated experts – Observer NFPs from the Western Balkans and Türkiye - attended the annual meeting of ECDC’s NFPs for Preparedness and Response, and for Threat detection, EWRS and IHR. The meeting took place in Stockholm, Sweden.
Observers from the ECDC accession support beneficiary countries received updates on all key ECDC activities within the area of preparedness and response and participated in discussions with EU Member State experts on strategic and technical matters for the planning of future activities.
The meeting provided a good opportunity for participants from the EU/EEA and from the Western Balkans and Türkiye to take stock of current activities and discuss collaborative actions in the areas of epidemic intelligence, threat detection, and preparedness and response. Participants reviewed the current priorities and deliberated on core areas for further collaboration in 2024.
