Legionnaires’ disease in Europe, 2015

​For 2015, 7 034 cases of Legionnaires’ disease were reported by 28 EU Member States, plus Iceland and Norway.
This report is based on surveillance data collected for 2015. Disease surveillance is carried out by the European Legionnaires’ Disease Surveillance Network (ELDSNet) and coordinated by the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) in Stockholm. Data were collected by appointed ELDSNet experts in each European country and electronically reported to The European Surveillance System (TESSy) database.
