Weekly influenza update, week 1, January 2023

ECDC monitors and reports on influenza activity in Europe on a weekly basis throughout the flu season, in collaboration with WHO Regional Office for Europe.

Influenza activity remains high with most EU/EEA countries reporting regional or widespread geographic spread and more countries reporting higher levels of intensity. A more detailed analysis of the current influenza season and more data can be found on Flu News Europe.
