This report presents the results of the second European Pertussis Laboratory Surveillance Network (EUPert-LabNet) EQA scheme for Bordetella pertussis PCR funded by ECDC on behalf of EUPert-LabNet. The EQA study was conducted between February and March 2018.
Campylobacteriosis is a very common gastrointestinal disease in the EU/EEA. In 2016, 29 EU/EEA countries reported 248 752 confirmed cases of campylobacteriosis.
Cases of salmonellosis and campylobacteriosis have remained stable over the past five years, although listeriosis is on the rise. In 2017, there was an average of 100 food- and waterborne outbreaks per week.
