This document assesses the risk related to dengue for EU/EEA citizens travelling to or residing in Réunion, and the risk related to having an outbreak of dengue in mainland EU/EEA following introduction of the virus from Réunion.
On 14 February 2021, national authorities declared an Ebola virus disease (EVD) outbreak in the rural area of Gouéké in Nzérékoré region, Guinea. As of 18 February 2021, seven EVD cases (three confirmed and four probable) have been identified, including five deaths.

The risk for EU/EEA citizens to become infected with communicable diseases during the 2019 hajj is considered low, thanks to the vaccination requirements for travelling to Makkah (Mecca) and the Saudi Arabian preparedness plans that address the management of health hazards during and after hajj.
