On 30 May - 1 June 2012, ECDC and the WHO Regional Office for Europe (WHO/Europe) jointly held their second Annual Influenza Working Meeting in Warsaw, Poland. The main work undertaken by delegates in over 20 sessions and 70 talks and discussions was reviewing progress in the last 12 months and agreeing on the work for the coming year.
On 30 May - 1 June ECDC and the WHO Regional Office for Europe (Regional Office) organised a joint annual influenza meeting in Warsaw for the countries in Western, Central and South Eastern Europe.
This expert meeting was part of the ECDC project on chlamydia control in Europe and aimed to provide EU Member States with evidence-based information that is needed for the development and evaluation of chlamydia control strategies and to monitor progress in chlamydia control in Europe.

Following an invitation from Greek authorities, a team of experts from the ECDC Programme for HIV/AIDS, Sexually Transmitted and Blood-borne infections, the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction (EMCDDA) and the WHO Regional Office for Europe will visit Greece on 28 and 29 May 2012. The European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) will join the mission as observers.
WHO’s regular meeting of its Strategic Advisory Group of Experts (SAGE) on Immunization meeting (April 2012) included receiving a report from a Working Group on influenza immunisation.
In an expert meeting in Stockholm, identified synergies and gaps in the availability of sexual health data, programmes, initiatives and policies across Europe and possibilities for future work will be discussed.
ECDC, through the VBORNET network, publishes regularly on its website maps on exotic mosquitoes and on phlebetomines - to provide the ECDC stakeholders and the general public with the most updated information on vector distribution. The maps are updated and improved quarterly.
