It draws on 2015 surveillance data reported to ECDC and the WHO Regional Office for Europe, and 2016 Dublin Declaration monitoring data reported to ECDC by 48 countries.
As an independent EU Agency, ECDC reports to a Management Board whose members are nominated by the Member States, the European Parliament and the European Commission.
