ECDC participated in the second Partnership Forum with the aim to foster an open environment for maximising coordination with Africa CDC and partners, as well as to increase awareness of key gaps and opportunities for partnerships and investment in the future.

The ‘ECDC 4 Africa CDC’ project liaison officer attended the Forum on behalf of the ECDC Director. Alongside trusted partners, the project liaison officer elaborated on the African Union’s New Public Health Order, Africa CDC’s priorities for the future and its autonomy. The meeting also constituted an opportunity to look at the long-term sustainability of support to Africa CDC secured through constant engagement and improved visibility of partnership areas, resulting in enhanced predictability of funding and support.
