On 15-16 June, ECDC and WHO European Regional Office will jointly host the Annual Tuberculosis Surveillance Network meeting at the WHO Regional office in Copenhagen. Bringing together European tuberculosis microbiologists and epidemiologists, the key topic for this year’s meeting will be Treatment Outcome Monitoring (TOM) within the European Region and the importance of assuring optimal TOM surveillance within all Member States of the Region.
Furthermore, an overall update of 2008 TB surveillance data will be provided, as well as an update on the developments of TB surveillance at the European level. Working groups will be formed to discuss several technical topics regarding TB surveillance as well as future developments within the network.
