Northern Dimension Partnership on Public Health and Social Well-being

The aim of this side event was to develop and support effective country and regional responses to further improve the current HIV and tuberculosis situations and reduce their impacts on human lives, economy and society.

​During the last decade, the Northern Dimension Partnership on Public Health and Social Well-being has been an important platform for collaboration and cooperation on public health in the region.

At the event, ECDC Director Marc Sprenger talked about the epidemiological situation for tuberculosis and for HIV in the EU and EEA countries and Russia and discussing measures to be taken to prevent and control further transmission of these two diseases.
