ESCAIDE, the European Scientific Conference on Applied Infectious Disease Epidemiology, is a three-day annual scientific conference, open to the wider communicable disease surveillance community. It gathers around 500-600 professionals across all fields related to applied epidemiology, to share their scientific knowledge and experience in the field of communicable disease surveillance, prevention and control.

The European Antibiotic Awareness Day is an annual European public health initiative that takes place on 18 November to raise awareness about the threat to public health of antibiotic resistance and the importance of prudent antibiotic use.
E-learning course on how to increase influenza vaccination uptake
It is important that healthcare workers (HCWs) get vaccinated against seasonal influenza since they can get influenza from, and transmit influenza to, patients and other HCWs. This e-learning course has been developed since seasonal influenza vaccination of HCWs is recommended in Europe but vaccination uptake remains low in most countries. It provides information about how to assess the uptake and barriers to vaccination, as well as examples of successful campaigns that have increased the vaccination among HCWs. The target audience is public health professionals who organize vaccination campaigns for HCWs.Read more
