Improving monitoring of HIV in migrant populations in the EU/EEA

​Workshop that aimed to contribute to improving the monitoring of HIV in migrant populations in the EU/EEA.

Information provided to ECDC indicates that several countries in the European Union and European Economic area (EU/EEA) are at the stage of planning behavioural or bio-behavioural surveys in relation to various aspects of migrant health and HIV.

 

In order to synergise between on-going initiatives in the area, ECDC together with the Spanish Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality hosted a workshop to improve the monitoring of HIV in migrant populations in the EU/EEA.

 

The overall purpose of this workshop was to contribute to improving the monitoring of HIV in migrant populations in the EU/EEA.

Meeting of the networks for Sexually Transmitted Infections and HIV

8 Mar 2016 to 11 Mar 2016 - ​This joint meeting of the networks on Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) and HIV offered a platform for expert discussion among nominated ECDC contact points for STI  and HIV on 8-9 March. On 10-11 March 2016, the European network for  HIV/AIDS Surveillance brought together the nominated HIV/AIDS surveillance contact and focal points of the 53 countries of the WHO European Region.
