West Nile virus in Europe in 2019 - equine cases, updated 8 August

Between 2 and 8 August 2019, four equine outbreaks were reported to the Animal Disease Notification System in the same week by Greece in areas where human cases are also reported.

During the current transmission season, seven outbreaks among equids have been reported by Greece (6) and Italy (1).
