Review of reviews and guidelines on target groups, diagnosis, treatment and programmatic issues for implementation of latent tuberculosis management
The implementation of a comprehensive and systematic strategy for reducing the burden of latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI) is essential to achieving tuberculosis elimination. To support the development of public health guidance on programmatic management of LTBI in the European Union and the European Economic Area, this review summarises relevant evidence collected from systematic reviews and evidence-based guidelines on target groups, diagnosis, treatment and programmatic issues for implementing programmatic management of LTBI.
