Second annual meeting of the European Food- and Waterborne Diseases and Zoonoses Network

Meeting report

In September 2009, epidemiologists and laboratory experts from across the EU met to discuss the surveillance of food- and waterborne diseases; specifically salmonellosis, campylobacteriosis, STEC/VTEC infections, listeriosis, shigellosis, and yersiniosis.
Invited experts presented on a variety of topics relating to food-borne and waterborne disease surveillance and outbreak investigations in their own countries. Disease-specific working groups then went on to discuss the technical details of data reporting.
