The ECDC updates are based on available data reported through the European Surveillance System (TESSy) by the national public health authorities of EU/EEA countries.
ECDC regularly assesses new evidence on variants detected through epidemic intelligence, rules-based genomic variant screening or other scientific sources.
The Management Board approves and monitors the implementation of ECDC’s work programme and budget, it adopts its annual report and accounts - all in all, it acts as the governing body of the Centre.
As the summer season is approaching, ECDC is hosting an online scientific seminar to raise awareness of vibriosis and it associated risks. The main target audience is the European Food- and Waterborne Diseases and Zoonoses Network but registration is open for anyone with an interest in the topic.
