ECDC releases today an update of its tick-borne diseases communication toolkit to support public health authorities in devising communication initiatives as part of their tick-borne diseases prevention programmes.
The report presents the results of the zoonoses monitoring activities carried out in 2013 in 32 European countries:eg 28 Member States (MS) and four non-Member States (non-MS) European Free Trade Association (EFTA) countries.
The leaflet provides information about ticks, the risk, the prevention of tick bites and how to react in the case of a tick bite, and sets out the symptoms for each of the potential tickborne diseases. (Adaptable templates available)
