The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) is releasing its 2022 annual epidemiological report on Haemophilus influenzae disease in the European Union/European Economic Area (EU/EEA).
In 2022, 3 967 confirmed cases of invasive Haemophilus influenzae disease were reported in the EU/EEA, representing a significant increase compared to the previous two years.
Avian influenza viruses continue to circulate, albeit at low levels, among wild bird populations across the European Union and the European Economic Area (EU/EEA).
