This report describes and analyses the social media space and the opportunities it presents for programmes to prevent HIV and other sexually transmitted infections among youth across Europe.
This report documents the process and outcome of the assessment and translation of the evidence into guidance recommendations on linkage to care and/or adherence to treatment for HCV, HIV and TB for the ECDC technical report, ‘A systematic literature review of interventions to increase linkage to care and adherence to treatment for hepatitis B and C, HIV and tuberculosis among people who inject drugs’.
The Ministry of Health in Bulgaria invited ECDC to prepare an assessment of the current national HIV programme and to review the STI and Hepatitis surveillance system. Following discussions between ECDC and representatives of the Bulgarian national programme, it was decided to split the assessment into two separate country missions.

ECDC publishes the sexually transmitted infections including HIV and blood-borne viruses chapter of the Annual Epidemiological Report 2014. It includes data from 2012 on the following diseases: chlamydia, gonorrhoea, hepatitis B virus infection, hepatitis C virus infection, HIV/AIDS and syphilis.
