The European network for arthropod vector surveillance for human public health (VBORNET), funded by the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control, holds its second annual general meeting at the Institute of Tropical Medicine in Antwerp, Belgium, on 18-20 April 2011

The European network for arthropod vector surveillance for human public health (VBORNET), funded by the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control, holds its second annual general meeting at the Institute of Tropical Medicine in Antwerp, Belgium, on 18-20 April 2011. The second day of the meeting, 19th of April 2011, is open for all interested participants.

The theme of the 2011 meeting is “Vector-borne diseases and public health”. Based on a questionnaire sent to the member states an analysis will be made of the current situation of vector-borne disease related public health expertise and activities in Europe.
