Dr. Andrea Ammon at European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) conference
On 25 May 2023, Dr. Andrea Ammon participated as a keynote speaker in a conference of the Civil Society Organisations' Group of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) at Europahuset in Stockholm.
Andrea gave a speech on ‘EU cooperation on serious cross-border health threats and health emergencies with a focus on infectious diseases.’
Other high-level speakers at the conference were Lena Hallengren, Member of Parliament, former Swedish Minister for Health and Social Policy, Miriam Söderström, State Secretary to the Swedish Minister for Health Care, and Anette Richardson, Head of Unit for Preparedness and Crisis Management at the Swedish Public Health Agency.
The conference was organised in the framework of the Swedish Presidency of the Council of the EU. It explored both Swedish and European perspectives on health, care and prosperity post COVID-19.
