Dr. Andrea Ammon visited Moldovan Ministry of Health
On 18 January 2023, Dr. Andrea Ammon visited Chisinau, Moldova, accompanied by representatives from the European and International Cooperation Section.
The Director was invited by the Ministry of Health to learn about Moldova’s public health system.
During the mission, the Director visited the Ministry of Health and met with Ala Nemerenco, Minister of Health. Other points on the agenda included a visit to the National Agency for Public Health, a meeting with the EU Delegation and with representatives from the WHO Country Office.
The Republic of Moldova is an EU candidate country. In December 2023 the EU decided to open accession negotiations with the country. More information on Moldova's application for EU membership.
