ENVI Committee exchanged views with Dr. Andrea Ammon
On 4 December, the annual exchange of views between the ENVI Committee and ECDC took place at the European Parliament.
Andrea Ammon updated ENVI members on the implementation of the reinforced mandate and provided insights into some of the Agency's recent events related to communicable disease.
In accordance with its strengthened mandate, ECDC is committed to identifying and evaluating current and emerging threats to human health from communicable diseases.
The ENVI Committee (Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety) is the body within the European Parliament responsible for environmental policy and environmental protection measures, public health and food safety issues. With 88 members, ENVI is today the largest committee in the European Parliament.
