EPIET/EUPHEM Rapid Health Assessment in Complex Emergency Situations (RAS) module aimed to prepare fellows/epidemiologists to contribute to the multidisciplinary and international response to complex emergencies and mass gathering events, and to apply their epidemiological skills to serve public health interventions.

Content:

  • Initial rapid assessment after an earthquake.
  • Setting up of a cholera surveillance system as a GOARN coordinators.
  • Retrospective mortality survey with Epicentre.
  • Mapping and counting exercise in the malaria affected area of Evrotas, Greece.

Target audience: EPIET/EUPHEM fellows and EPIET associated programmes (EAP) fellows

Accreditation

The PH Training Section applied for accreditation of the EPIET/EUPHEM Rapid Health Assessment in Complex Emergency Situations (RAS) module under the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME, see: http://www.eaccme.eu).
