The meeting addressed a wide range of issues concerning antimicrobial resistance, antimicrobial consumption and healthcare-associated infections.

The meeting particularly focused on reviewing the outputs of the ARHAI networks in 2012, discussing the future of those networks and reviewing the experiences and successes of the Member States with the surveillance and control of antimicrobial resistance, antimicrobial consumption and healthcare-associated infections.
