World Health Summit 2023
On17 October, Dr. Andrea Ammon spoke at the World Health Summit 2023 in Berlin.
Dr. Andrea Ammon spoke during the keynote session International Cooperation Strategies to Implement Effective and Fit for Purpose Surveillance Systems: Spotlight on European and African Initiatives.
The session was hosted by EU Commission and chaired by Philippe Roux, Acting Director of Directorate B on Public Health, DG SANTE, European Commission.
Objectives of the session:
- To highlight collaborative and partnership approaches on epidemic surveillance between the WHO pandemic hub, the African CDC, the ECDC, the European Commission and EU/EEA Member States.
- To discuss strategies how to take forward international and inter-institutional co-operation on epidemic surveillance.
